| Gearbox said: So, I've been thinking and realized "OMG wow sony has a strong chance" reasons 1. Many devs are either increasing support or returning to the psp. 2. At some point they will be selling the ps3 for a profit, say hello to advertisments then. 3. HUGE linup. Uncharted 2, god of war 3, gran turismo 5, killzone 2, infamous, white knight chronicles, ratchet and clank future series, the list goes on. 4. Nintendo doesn't have any big releases that we know of. Microsoft has some 5. Ready at dawn studios might just make their own ip for the psp rather then using other titles. Everything they have made is/was genious what do u think? |
(1) More devs are abandoning the PSP, including some of the most successful ones. Like God of War for PSP? Dev left the PSP.
(2) After this most recent cost reduction, they're about $100 away from selling the PS3 for a profit. Cost reduction will get harder from this point forward, of course, and it is unlikely they will get to a profit on a per-system-sold basis in 2009.
(3) Your "huge" lineup consists of games that may or may not come out in 2009 (GoW 3, GT 5), games that haven't exactly received critical acclaim (White Knight Chronicals), and another Uncharted and another Ratchet & Clank. Those games didn't change the PS3's fortunes, so why would their sequels?
(4) Nintendo always hides their big releases.
(5) Ready at Dawn doesn't work with the PSP anymore. They jokingly stated that maybe they should reconsider it, but they were kidding. They literally said that they should reconsider it because they were good at it. But they're moving to more profitable platforms (like the DS).
