Will we ever see a FFVII Remake?

Am I the only one who doesn't want an FF7 remake? Square-Enix are a shadow of the company they used to be. The remake will certainly be a lot worse and ruin the nostalgia people have for the original. Just play the original and be happy that the game exists in the first place.
