Well Mario & Sonic Olympics worked so well, maybe EA should ask Nintendo for a Mario & Madden NFL 2010.
Have an arcadey "Mario mode w/big head NFL players + Miis and Mario characters. They sorta did this with the SSX and NBA Street titles on the GameCube (added Mario characters) but it wasn't really marketed or pushed too heavily.
If you name the game "Mario & Madden NFL" straight up, obviously that will draw more people in. Have TV commercials with NFL players trying to tackle Mario.
1.5-2 mill easy in North America.
