Will the Wii outsell PS2?

GameBoy couldn't outsell PS2 and it was fastest selling handheld  back then and everybody was thinking GBA would be best selling handheld.And ITS NOT.

 

You have serious problems when comparing the past with the present

1. DC never hade 2 years of greater sales then the competition. Being out before anyone else and have sales isn't comparable with Wii. Wii hasve better sales then both competitiors at the same time, without being the first.

2. You have no clue on Nintendos plans or their Life Span. Life Span is decided by how good the console is selling. PS1 and PS2 has been outstanding so their life span has been/will be over 10 years. With the current state of Wii it will live longer then 6 years, which other successfull Nintendos consoles have done.

3. Pricecut will help. It does so for all machines. Yes a pricecut is more crucial for PS3 but that is another story. All demands go up after pricecuts, that's a fact, and that will go for Wii to when it happens. Not to talk about when the Launch a new model, a new controll and so on.

5. GB/GBA is the best selling handheld so whats the deal? they sold 118 million units and passed PS1. And how can you compare it to PS2? GB/GBA died long before PS2 so comparing past as competing with future is stupid.

 

Look at NDS. Will pass 100 million before end of fiscal year for Nintendo. It will sell better then GB/GBA and has a high chance of beating PS2 before end of the line. Just look how new life has been pumped in with new models adn still no priecut.
