Good point, but with everything going green, don't you think that public opinion will cause politicians to choose renewable energy instead?

I agree that politicians are greedy, but just look at the recent election.  If all the government cared about was profit, then McCain would be president.  I'm not trying to turn this into a Obama vs. McCain debate, but if McCain won, then he probably would have brought more profit to the government at the people's expense IMO.  I think people are too scared to use nuclear power, either from the lessons of history (World War II) or what they see in the movies.
