If you took all the blockbuster games off the HD systems, you'd just be left with average games... unlikely to make back their money, and even worse, highly prone to totally flopping and costing millions.

This right here is the fatal flaw in your argument: the misconception that HD systems are making games better. That simply isn't true, nor can it be, because the HD consoles offer nothing over the previous generation but pretty pictures.

When did i say that?

I said if you didn't put blockbusters on the HD systems... you'd be putting only regular games on.

"regular" games that cost as much as it would to make a Wii blockbuster.

Games that could fail and cost you 8+ million a piece.

If an average Wii game flops... it costs you like... 4+ million a piece.

The regular games are more likely to flop, so why not put them on a system where the blow is going to be less... and put a lot of average games on the wii, and your few big ones on the HD consoles?
