So Resident Evil didn't borrow any ideas from Alone in the Dark, and there weren't about a million editions of Street Fighter (still love playing against friends in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo SNES on VC)? Pretty much each Capcom series you listed has tons of sequels just like Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon.
