Does Metroid Prime 3 REALLY have that much worse graphics than HD games?

I have Metroid Prime 3. I can only play PS3/360 games at the office.

MP3 "kinda" looks like Half-Life 2 to me, which isn't bad at all. HD games look better, but I really like MP3's 60FPS.

Let's not just go overboard and say it'll look like HD games if played on an HDTV (or magically gets 1080p resolution). It'll still need higher polygon count, higher texture resolutions and bump maps to compare.
