Why wouldn't 2008 be the Year of the PS3 if....

What I am saying is the criteria for System of the Year is constantly changing in order to favor the 360. That is my point.

This year was a virtual tie for PS3 and 360 and the media should show as much. If its going to be based on sales, then the Wii should get it hands down. If it is based on games then the 360 gets it in 07 and the PS3 08.

It should not be changing just so we can all say 360 is the winner.

 

PS: Someone asked for links of sites that say these sort of things earlier. Check out Gametrailers last year and this year awards. Both were 360 if I am not mistaken. This is only one of the sites that have claimed this.

Who even decides what is the System of the Year? You decide for you, I decide for me, everyone else decides for himself or herself. If Gametrailers thinks it was the 360 and explains their reasons for it, then agree or disagree, but the whole exercise is so arbitrary that it hardly warrants any agonizing over it.

But really, it was the year of the Wii. Again.
