Does Metroid Prime 3 REALLY have that much worse graphics than HD games?

Metroid Prime 3 runs at 60 fps, with rare framerate drops. Nintendo could well have made MP3's graphics better, but they wisely chose framerate over the ability to create flashy screenshots.

 

 

I agree; 30 fps is almost suffocating (for me) compared to 60.

I agree with your comment as FPS seems to take a back seat to effects now.  What happened to the 60FPS as the ideal?  This is a major reason I haven't bothered with either the PS3 or 360.  I think the 360 overal has a better reputation for high frame rate though.
