| RolStoppable said: naznatips, from all the things you are saying about the game so far, it seems that Retro Studios managed to do what I thought would be close to impossible: Improve the series with Corruption as much (or maybe even more) over Echoes, as Echoes was improved over the first Prime. I should add that after playing Echoes multiple times just like the first Prime I felt that Prime should get its rating reduced by 10 %. The details changed in the second game made it that much better. Prime can be seen as the prototype for the Metroid series in 3D, Echoes was the more polished successor and Corruption seems to be close to perfection. |
That's exactly how I feel about this game. It's as close to perfection as you can ever ask of a developer, and it's managed to surpass it's own origins. It's found the perfect gameplay balance and become truly what the Prime series should be. Really, it's what all adventure games should be. In my mind there is a new standard for the adventure genre, and I really hope that other developers in the future take note of how well designed MP3 really is.
