I think to compare the 360 to the Wii you have to take the Wii a year back... how many million sellers did the 360 have at the beginning of 08?? I remember like 38 or 40... so they are tied.
As the Wii userbase grows I see it first pulling closer then pulling away. But it will not be like last gen by any means. The 360 is a sw selling machine... Same could not be said for the XB, and not too much for the GC (even though it did pretty good for its userbase)
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
