yes what you say is true but you have to look at this from a general consumer standpoint. Which has a better line-up for all crowds that are easy to pic-up and paly without upgrades or anything special.
This is why the PS3 won.

Your argument is flawed because the average consumer is more likely to play on PC than a Console, and the games being easy to "pickup and play" is not something that should enter into the equation since one of the advantages PC has is that it allows a more complex and varied gaming.
If you're saying specifically about accessability for consumers, I think you'll agree with me that PC is getting more and more user-friendly than ever, and you don't even need to go to the store to buy PC games anymore. And on the other hand PS360 are becoming very PC-like, a "cheaper" imitation of PCs.

Have you not taken a gander at PC game sales for the last 5 years. PC gaming is on the steady decline and game developers are learning this the hard way. It is far too easy to pirate games for PC, so developers make virtually no profit from it. Console gaming out numbers it 20 fold.

I think your a touch misinformed....
PC Gaming is far from a decline. The declining retail numbers is more due to the transition to digital distribution which the NPD Group cannot track.
