Your argument is flawed because the average consumer is more likely to play on PC than a Console, and the games being easy to "pickup and play" is not something that should enter into the equation since one of the advantages PC has is that it allows a more complex and varied gaming. If you're saying specifically about accessability for consumers, I think you'll agree with me that PC is getting more and more user-friendly than ever, and you don't even need to go to the store to buy PC games anymore. And on the other hand PS360 are becoming very PC-like, a "cheaper" imitation of PCs.

Thats the issue, people want wasy controls not complex. Having two objects to control with more buttons to use the an WiiMote and it becomes difficult for a lot of people till they get used to it after several years of doing it.
