Right, but Nomura doing designs for the characters doesn't tell me the scale, either. He did all the designs for TWEWY, too. This is Square's Smash Bros., and I get that, but it's just not clear to me whether this is indicative of an investment in line with funding a Final Fantasy remake.

 

Not even mentioning Nomura, how many remakes had Kitase as a producer, or Ishimoto as a composer?

Well, not a lot, I admit, but Kitase has directed and produced plenty of spin-off games (like the original Chain of Memories even), and Ishimoto has composed nearly all of those same games (again, including the GBA Chain of Memories).
