I have a feeling it is like I mentioned above.

Well the only thing that goes against your idea is the fact that I asked the phone operator if the changes will be reflected on my XBox.com account. She told me it will no longer say "Auto-renewal" on there and only an expiration date. The reason I believe that should be the case is because after the first operator screwed up my renewal date changed on the account.
I do however hope you are right.

Hmmm... yeah, I guess if they say it should have changed, then that is odd it hasn't. My only thought was that since you didn't want it to cancel immediately, it would do some auto-cancel order rather than cancel at the time you called like most probably do. I hope I'm right too, because getting charged and then calling to clear that up is probably really annoying just like this has been.

It is beyond "really annoying", seriously.
When I first signed up I thought "Hey, i'll try it for a month and if I like it i'll grab a 12+1 Month card from the VGChartz store". Then I was blind sided and hit with a recurring payment (Huh? What is the point of 1-Month plan then?).
Now after all this I am not even sure if I am going to get LIVE anymore, maybe a card every now and then for who knows what, but I will never use my credit card with a MS product ever again. They are a god damn nightmare of a company to work with. They are bottom of the barrel when it comes to intelligent customer service.
With all the money they make they can't even get someone with half a brain to talk to me on the other end of the line and do something as simple as cancel an account?

While I can say that my personal CS experiences with Microsoft have been quite pleasant actually, I know they can be annoying as well. Unfortunately, it is not just MS that can be annoying. Try getting billing straightened out with Verizon or Comcast or some other subscription provider. They can all be a pain to deal with.

We gave up Verizon because they were a nightmare as well and went with Optimum (not much better unfortunately).
Sometimes it seems that the more powerful the company is, the more they dick you around.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
