FFIV is balls hard. Those mages are vulnerable to being turned into frogs, though.

And many enemies are vulnerable to Stop.

 I usually am fine, but there were 3 and it was a back attack... I grinded up a bit to make life easier (cecil is a 67 or so) and he has draw attack and counter on. Normal I would have thrown a shell up and been fine, but they got 3 attacks before I got any... f them lol....

Yeah, that's a bummer that's hard to avoid.

Do you have the AUgment that doubles your experience gained? You get it in the Hummingway cave.

yea I gave it to Rydia, she was behind in lvls and she is my Ace during boss fights, she needs to stay alive and here summons need to pack a punch. Gvae

 

Aw dang, man! There's a new game+ option where you can carry over augments into a new game! If you had given it to Cecil, you never would have had to grind again on subsequent playthroughs!
