Games are typicly finished well before release. Most of the time companies that can afford to wait will. They wait for more appropriate release times.
Now I know this may sound wierd but, Kirby is a core game and core games can sell any time. Keeping mind that core games selling durring the holidays are people buying games for the core audiance. The core game won't recieve as much a front load sale, but it will contiue to sell to the core gamer over a little longer period of time. Rather than cramming it into 1-2 weeks. Instead it will sell over 3-5 weeks. The expanded audiance games however sell better durring expanded selling periods(like xmas). That way you can get maximum sales.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
