I am beginning to wonder if Nintendo wants Kirby to be handheld exclusive.

After all, Kirby -- not Mario -- was the launching platformer for the Gameboy.

And it is a Day 1 purchase for me too (I will reserve that puppy).

Those wanting a Kirby experience on Wii can play the Subspace Emissary on SSBB.

Super Mario Land and Mario Land 2 both came out before Kirby's Dream Land on the Game Boy.  I think Kirby's best achievement was his NES Adventure.  Kirby's Dream Land 2 wasn't as good as either Adventure or the original.

Almost none of Nintendo's franchises is exlcusive to one of their machines aside from, maybe, Brain Age and Nintendogs.  Punch-Out could even work pretty well on the DS with combinations of pin-point stylus punching, stylus dodges, and button-press combos and blocks.  That'd be a pretty good formula.  Why hasn't that happened yet?
