Basically we have two kinds of audiences, core, which is the existing one and blue ocean, which is the new audience.
With the classification you're using, you're basically stating that "the games i don't like, are casual". Even if we think of pick-up-and-play games being "casual",Animal Crossing doesn't fit the category. AC being a life simulation game, just like Sims, it essentially is an RPG.

 

 dont get me wrong, I love MKWii, I guess a better way to put is they are traditional casual games. Back in the PSone and PS2 days they would be considered casual for sure. Not so much anymore I guess.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
