 According to Transformers: The Movie, by the year 2005 we should be traveling to space, driving flying cars, fighting Decepticons, and mourning over Optimus Prime's death.  I don't see ANY of that happening.  Do you?!?  And, that was FOUR years ago.  You can use your logic, and your reasoning.  I use science fiction.
