I was checking out variety.com ... And the top right corner of their main page shows a picture of Samus and "Wii's first true adventure game is more tedious than epic." It maybe just a difference of opinion or maybe it is "too hardcore." (And yet some sites have complained that the bosses only need one run through and the upgrading is much simplier, not to mention that you start with most upgrades.)

For instance, in their article they state it is too tedious especially during boss battles. And why? Because it needs:

A. Dedication

B. Patience

C. Familiarity with vocabulary of videogames

So apparently enjoyment becomes tedious if you need to know how to play games. It's no pick up and play wii sports. So yeah I would say they are targeting the view for the casual audience, because they are a company for the general public. Hence it gets docked.

Side note but their review of Boishock states that anyone with a token of gaming expirence can get by (on easy or normal). Who know Bioshock was the new wii sports?!
