You know, this trend you've spotted is also happening to one of the new series... Wii Sports is pretty universal: most people have heard of and fully grasp the games included in it without trouble. Wii Sports Resort, on the other hand, is loaded with more obscure sports like jetskiing, swordfighting, etc.
