10% would be more significant but I know that won't happen. It got roughly 13.5% this week (I think?)

Its total marketshare in Americas is 17%

Forget games, Killzone will not give the PS3 any significant boost unless Sony advertise the hell out of it. So what will we have in America in 2009?

The 360 at mass market price

The Wii not supply constrained

The PS3 at its price in a recession.

All 3 go against the PS3, It has never had any sort of hold in America, even when it was outselling the 360 last year it was never by huge margins in America. Christmas is over. No more crazy spending from consumers.

What do you all think?

Please please for the love of god, don't post here whining and stamping your feet like a child, screaming "hater", I'm just curious to see what people think will happen in this situation.

Your first instinct was correct.  Why do you think 10% can't happen? Hopelessly over priced and missed out on the greatest xmas game sales in history? It is all downhill from here.  I think it will cross 15% by midyear, and teeter very close to 10% by the end of the year. It's beyond salvage at this point.

End of 09 America prediction!!

Wii 50%

Xbox 43%

PS3 7%

I see the Wii slowing a little as people realize it is not that great, and the value proposition for the xbox makes it a no brainer in the HD market.

Trying to convince me the Wii is a real adult game machine 'if you play it right' is like trying to convince me Tofu tastes great 'if you just cook it right'
