To be fair, some great franchises didn't start off that good. I didn't really enjoy Metroid for the NES. I love its sequels and the Prime games though. Sonic 1 kinda aged to me (still fun but obviously flawed, not because of the lack of Spindash), Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles are still amazing to this day. I beleive Kid Icarus has GREAT potential for another game. So hey, it wouldn't hurt to try. By the way, in speaking of sequels, there is a KI sequel for the Game Boy but I've never played it yet. Has anyone tried it? If so, was it good or at least better than the NES game? (Personally I did enjoy the NES game to some extent, I heard the first few stages sucks, so I'm still willing to give KI NES another go someday.) |
Actually, Metroid on the NES was popular at that time. The one that started it all along with Legend of Zelda. Those are the first games that actually uses a walkthrough and at that time its innovative and new.
end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out
