The Wii fan kids comes from a bunch of kids who were making comments on the invisible walls facebook group. GT sucks, Wii rules, Animal crossing is much better than Gears of war 2, LBP, Resistance 2 etc....After some investigation the MOST of them were not yet 12. That's why some of the Wii staf just calls the Wii fanboys Wii fan kids.

No, look we are debating the overwhelming cynicism of journalists about the Wii. Not just one journalist at one site/ magazine, all (most) journalists have this "perspective". Everyone knows how Nintendo is treated, they have always been percieved in this same way, and it makes fans absolutely f--kn sick of people that refuse to acknowledge there is preferential treatment for select systems.
One opinion is fine, cool im happy with that. When every single article or story you read is about the PS3 and 360 instead of the Wii, and you notice the distinct lack of coverage and further more do not complain about it, you are simply encouraging the slack ass effort in 3rd party development for a system that has already won this generation, and will most likely sell much more software than either competitor will.
That's my opinion and that's why the media's message (be it casuals, kiddy, waggle, etc) is ultimately damaging the market leader.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
