They rarely do.
I've found there are two main types of trolls. The hit and run troll. These trolls post an instigating piece of data and then run like hell. They usually know they are wrong, hence why they don't reply, or discover they were wrong but cannot admit to their fallacy. The religious troll. These trolls create an entire belief structure out of their opinion and hold fast to it so tight, no amount of contradictory data will waiver their belief.

I admit Im one of them, im a anti leo-j though trestres was extreme but after my brother purchase a 360 and disappointed with it atleast on the games we bought so far, being religous fanboy was pointless. There are games thats in the wii version that wasnt in the 360 and vice versa, even the PS3 ones. Im buying games on the 360 like Prince of Persia because the Wii dont have it.
end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out
