It will probably surpass the PS2's userbase, but PS360 sales are way too healthy for it to match PS2's marketshare.

 

And that's probably a good thing. Sony and MS aren't agile enough to survive in this market with Gamecube-like sales. The gaming industry is better off with more players in the game.

 

 Not necessarily, it will depend on how well PS3 and 360 hold up over the next 2 years, if they peak and decline, then the Wii will probably top the PS2 marketshare
