When people don't buy their producs because they have silly things to do like 'feed their family' and 'watch their life savings wither away because they invested in their company's poorly-managed 401( k),' so these investors need people to be spending their hard-earned money so that they can pull in another million-dollar bonus.
The fact that people realize the ridiculousness of some of these products ($1k for a TV? Really?) and choose not to spend on those leads to these Scrooges saying 'Bah, Humbug'
