I played some of the original on the ps2 and it intrigued me but I never got around to buying it. The first one that I did actually buy was MHF2 and really only got that when a group of students at the school where I teach convinced me to get it so I could hook up with them on missions ;P I do have to say it is something I would enjoy if only you could connect online and not just on ad-hoc.
