Hi all! It was a cold morning here in Cyprus, as usual we got up at 6:00 AM (I'm in the army BTW) and we were told it was payment day, YAY! We got 290,00 Euros and all was right.

Later that day, I was with friends walking the streets of Nicosia, when my eyes dropped on a shiny new DSi in an electronics store. Taking no longer than 5 minutes, the package was in my hands (White DSi).

I forked down 280 Euros but in my humble opinion it is totally worth it so far; the screens are much brighter and quite bigger (you can see the difference easily), the OS is tons better and friendly not to mention tech-y. I took some photos, the quality is not that good, it's VGA quality actually, but the device is not meant to replace your existing digital camera!

I edited some of the photos I took and I must say what's on offer is somewhat limited but very fun and user-friendly (NOTE: I don't speak Japanese and there's no option to change the language). The speaker sound a lot clearer and a bit higher than the Phat DS (don't get me started on the DSLite).

I didn't have the chance to try out DSiWare or Web Browsing yet, I'll get to it in ~8 days when I take my next leave. The only real letdown so far, has nothing to do with the hardware itself - the charger takes in 110V while in all of Europe out outlets give 220V so I need a stepdown converter.

+ Great, bigger and brighter screens

+ Camera and microphone editing options

+ Revamped, stylish and easy to use menu

+ Mat design, better and sturdier buttons and layout

+ DSiWare

- Import price

- Stepdown Converter needed (except Japanese and Americans)

- Slightly lower battery life (0.5-1.5 hours less)

- No GBA slot

- No English option, region-locked DSiWare

OVERALL - 9/10 - Not an import purchase, wait for a local release (but DO get it when it does)
