| kn said: I love Nintendo games, but I have just been burned for the last time. I was somewhat disappointed with MK Wii as I didn't feel like there was much new to the game. I felt like Nintendo milked the series for a quick buck. Super Mario Galaxy on the other hand was brilliant. Today, I bought Animal Crossing: City Folk. I was dumbfounded as the game loaded. The graphics are the same. Sound effects are largely borrowed from the first series. Pretty much everything is a just a port from the 'cube version with very little innovation. The graphics are pretty much identical to the gamecube version... There is so little new here that one who is not well versed in Animal Crossing could easily watch a player for 20 minutes and think they were watching the gamecube version. Shame on Nintendo for not really pushing the Wii hardware and adding some signficant improvement to the series. I've been burned for the Last time. I've got all three consoles and will, from this point forward, focus 100% of my attention on the 360 and PS3. Nintendo, until now, has been my favorite overall Video Game company because of the quality of their titles. Today, they lost a huge fan. Permanently. |
It's Mario Kart. Why would they change a game that has been awesome for so long? They added bikes, tricks, a few new items, online play and a crap load of new characters. That's enough new to the game for me.
They did change the battle system and we see how that turned out.
What more would you like them to do?
