Exactly, you're grasping my train of thought. Microsoft can't beat Sony straight up this gen. They can only win by winning incremental battles. They are taking it slow, because that is all they can do for now.

 

let's wait and see how people will react to $/euro 249.00 PS3 .

it might be received very well,,,it might not.   nothing is for sure now.

 

cause as is , PS3 is just too expensive .(amount of people that are willing to put down half a grand for a gaming machine are limited)

 

if sony drops the price to 299 and doesn't see a good permenant boost then 360 can win the generation.

 

remembre 199 is the sweet spot for gaming consoles and MS has played that card already,,,it's time for sony to play some of their cards.(PS2 trade-in program being one)

 

 

 Microsoft still has price cuts in their future and newer models. If Sony is going to fight back 2009 has to be the year, because after it's first 3 years it's lifespan will be spelled out. Sorry if this is confusing.
