and if you think localizing to a new format, pushing it, advertising it, and putting your gun behind it is cheap, then you're not looking at the big picture. even if this thing can really cost the same as a dvd, the costs to introduce the damn thing next to an already ailing blu ray is going to be massive. for movie studios, another format is just an unwelcome premise that will add more confusion to the market. the reality is, people don't give a damn about high definition as much as they give damn about the movie itself.

and what about sony pictures and their supporters eh? you think they'll back this format after the long and bloody format war with hd dvd? no way. certainly sony will do everything in it's marketing power to blacklist this thing. the majority of movie studios, of course, will support the format with better funding and better support.
