It is disappointing but as others have stated it was not an MS backed title like BD and Lost Odyssey. Given the fact that BD is still the best selling 360 title in Japan, I seriously doubt MS would sever their relationship with Mistwalker. BD is their biggest hit in Japan and Lost Odyssey is the only JRPG that has sold well in the West this generation.

Lost Odyssey is the best turn based JRPG of this generation by far. It is far better than a good deal of SE's efforts. I'd take Lost Odyssey over just about every Final Fantasy released after VI, with only IX and X coming close to it. If Lost Odyssey had the been titled Final Fantasy, I guarantee you it would have been scored higher in reviews.
