Sony simply cannot give up on the PS3 now. They have invested to much in it and they are in a sink or swim situation. They will live or die by how well the system does over the next 3 or 4 years, if not sooner.
While I do agree with you about Sony totally screwing up this gen. I still think they can save, the PS3. Not by price cuts, but by withering the storm until they are profitable. Which means they may finish third this gen but they will atleast finish. If they do a price cut and it fails then they have simply lost billions more and the entire Company may fail. And this would not be a good thing for any of us, not just gamers.
