I don't wanna bash Gamepro or Gamespot, but I find that the lack of consistency in their review scores is strange.
Gamepro gave higher scores to Super Mario Strikers, Big Brain Academy, Trauma Center, and DBZ:T2
Gamespot gave Wario Ware a higher score by .6, and Monkey Ball a lower score by .2...
I think they need to take score of other games into consideration when they assign the number. Many people make their buying decisions along the lines of where they rank. While I love Elebits (my favorite game) Strikers and Wario Ware, if I was a professional reviewer, I wouldn't rate any of those higher than Super Paper Mario or Zelda, and probably Metroid. because a reviewer has to rate a game on gameplay+graphics+story+lasting appeal... I also understand that one element of a game can be so good that it lifts it above others, like Wario Ware with controls or Heavenly Sword with graphics, but a game should be solid in all areas to achieve a 9+. Maybe those reviewers just really don't like playing traditional games with Wii controls. But that is just my humble opinion. I will tell you my opinion of MP3 when a user review thread is inevitably started too early for anyone to have played the whole thing.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
