I dunno about kanji training games, but my kanji dictionary for the DS has English definitions for many if not most words. It also has little quiz things that could be used for practice and studying some kanji.
As for Rosetta Stone, it may be a great way to study and learn as well. An advantage I see with the DS is that it is more easily portable, so you could use it almost any time.
