Not to incite or anything, but SONY should focus on their PS2 and PSPs, thats the only way. PSP and PS2s makes SONY make more money than the PS3. I think phasing out the PS3 is the right thing now for SONY, it will not getting better on 2009.
end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out
