CoD3 sold pretty decently at Wii's launch, and after getting snubbed last year of a port of the stellar 4, not to mention all the clamor for a serious hardcore Wii game, you'd think that WaW on the Wii would be selling AT LEAST on pace with the PS3 version. Edit: O.T. I think (hope) the Wii does indeed get a port or original version of CoD6, especially since Treyarch already did the dirty work of getting the CoD4 engine running on the Wii, and pretty well at that, so there's no excuse for Infinity Ward or some other developer not to make a Wii version. 2009 will be the year most major companies finally make a shift towards the Wii and bring alot of their major games/franchises along with them. |
40k (or more) a week ain't bad sales! At least not if it keeps on going. When the numbers comes in for last week, CoD: WAW might lead 3 of 6 weeks compared to CoD3 in America. Another week with higher numbers then CoD3 might put CoD: WAW at a lead in week to week basis. And lets not forget the Others numbers of CoD3 we ain't having, I would not be surprised if CoD: WAW was leading over CoD3 there already.
The big and growing installbase of Wii might give some games more legs then frontloaded sales. Shortage or not, this games sells lika a casual one so far. That in a good way.
