9.0 GameSpy
Even with its great new controls, decent story and amazing visuals, there are some annoyances that have bled through from the other games...The biggest offender is the way the game streams new levels.

No I hadn't seen that. Thanks. I added it to the first post. It's current average is a 9.1 for anyone too lazy to check the front page. Interestingly, this once again contradicts pretty much everything Gamespot and Game Pro complained about.

Some key points supporting their experience being more in line with the norm and points of theirs that once again contradict Gamespot and Game Pro:

-Most gamers will find their fledgling hours in the game a pretty challenging learning experience, but once you've worked your way through the first area onboard the federation starship, you'll be all set to get out there and tackle the rest of the game's challenges. And believe us when we say that there are a lot to be dealt with. As is the norm for the series, there's a lot of backtracking, re-exploring and map-searching to be done.

-The controls are the other part of the winning formula, and thanks to the nunchuck and Wii remote combo, first-person-style shooting has never been more accurate on Nintendo's new hardware.

-There are also a lot of brand new features that make Corruption feel fresh and new versus the two previous games.

-What you're left with then is a rock-solid end to the Metroid Prime series, and one that deserves to be played by fans and Wii owners alike. It's a fitting end to Samus' exploits and ranks highly in the Wii's current library of games. We feel that Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl might be the only other Wii games coming this year that'll give Corruption a run for its money, and by that very definition, Corruption is a must-play game.

If you eliminate Gamespot and Game Pro from the reviews (just off of the basis of their experience being completely different from all other reviewers) then the average is a 9.4.
