Personally I wouldn't want RE5 on the Wii. I would prefer they make a traditional RE on the Wii, ground up. My impressions for RE5 is that it's more of an action shooter, then a horror game. But, time will tell maybe it has more frights then it shows...
The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!
