I only got up to like page 15 so maybe someone made this point already. But basically people show a profund lack of knowledge of why people buy a console.
When people are buying a new console they don't consider only the games that came out this year. In fact the only situation that would happen would be if every year consoles became redundant and you needed an updated one to play new games.
The wii has enough games that people want at the moment. When someone looks into buying a wii they don't just look at what came out that month. They look at all it's games. The wii is at a point where it is popular and has a games library big enough to encourage new users to buy it. Whether it is getting new games at a rate of 6 a year or 20 a year is pretty irrelvant for now. New owners still have a big library to work through.
PS. I would also like to raise the point that Leo-J claims the PSN is equal to XBox live and both have 14million subscribers. Well yes but the 14million are divided between PS3 and PSP. And the vast majority certainly aren't on the PS3. He also seemed confused as to why the 360 was a HD console when it didn't play 'HD discs'. What the hell is a HD disc? There isn't some magic powder on blu-ray discs that let HD be shown, they just hold more data. There is no difference between 3 dvds and a normal blu-ray disc except the physical size difference. The only advantage blu-ray has over Dvd for gaming is it means you don't have to swap discs, that is it, everything.
