I should have not mentioned the attach rate, because attach rate only works when the systems have a similar install base.
The Wii and PS3 install base is very different... a 5.33 attach rate on a 40 million install base console is A LOT more than 5.5 on a less than 20 million install base console.
Just look at the total software sales for the last week in USA:
Wii: 10,365,100
PS3: 4,093,304
Thats more than double...
The Wii sells A LOT LOT more software than the PS3. So people is buying the system to buy games. A lot more games than PS3 owners.
