 It has taken off ala the Ipod (and DS). It is something everyone wants, regardless of whether they are really interested in it. We're in a time in which "people have everything" and it is a pretty easy thing to give someone.

 

I'm willing to bet that a lot the Wii sales are from people who have very little clue what the Wii even is.

 

It has become "cool" like the Ps2 did, but to an even bigger extent.

Yeah. As much as I love the Wii, the reason people buy the Wii isn't the things I love about it. That sounds a bit odd really...

 

I can't really figure out what made it so dang cool in the first place though. Did the "family concept" take off at once?
