Would someone please tell me how LBP is innovative. This is what annoys me about Sony fanboys they constantly say LBP is innovative yet I have never heard a good argument for how it is. So it's innovative because it's using physics to solve puzzles? Erm yea that's been done. It's innovative because users create levels? Been done. Customisable characters? Been done.

The only thing it has done which is innovative is done it within a 2d setting, of course even then there have been simpler games doing this for ages. Innovation is not taking existing ideas and putting them in a different genre. It is coming up with new ideas.

As to whether LBP is a commerical success it's hard to say. In the Uk the game's price has been slashed, you can get it for half price already. It's also being bundled. So you would also have to say Marvel Ultimate Alliance on the 360 was a huge commerical success. Did LBP do as expected? Definetly not. The amount of advertising, show time dedicated to the game etc shows that sony were expecting this to be HUGE, it's done well but they certainly couldn't use Sackboy as a mascot. LBP was meant to be one of Sony's big games this holiday season. It is performing well under the big games on other platforms.

Oh and DMJ you only later changed your ''LBP will be HUGE'' to not mean sales when you saw the sales. People over the age of 5 don't use the word HUGE for fun. If you meant that you would have said AMAZING or INCREDIBLE. Huge obviously related to sales.

amen to that brother....if Nintendo had of published this game as it currently stands then it would have been pure innovation, after all Nintendo = innovation, hallelujah.
