I just checked, Activision hasn't "publicly" announced it yet but that's only because they haven't announced it for any console at all yet, just the official name so far. However they've already those they communicate with. I was speaking to my PR rep about the series last week and there was no indication the Wii was not gettign COD: MW2.

While there is no direct link there is plenty of allusions.

IW hired several developers last year with a requirement of Wii development experience.
The COD4 engine was ported to Wii which is what will power COD6.
The engine wasn't complete in time to begin work on COD4.
Do you think they'd take the time and money to port the engine for just 2 games (World at War and QoS)?
Activision has been a huge Wii supporter and all their franchises have seen a Wii release.

Scottie, COD: WaW also runs on the COD4 engine.
