So you think Blizzard is going to go to console and release the most popular third party game ever released? Because that's what it would take to match sales of their recent games on the PC. And on the PC, most of their revenue comes from a $15/mo monthly subscription now which cannot be done on consoles.

And the Wii is currently the only console that could do RTS games properly -- Blizzard's strongest franchise in terms of quality-over-the-competition.

They might release a game or two on console, as they have been planning for years and years, but PC offers superior control, superior power, and superior online. And for blizzard, superior revenues. Downgrading from the PC to a PS3 would be a huge hit.

Well FF XI on 360 requires subscription so why not? and there is no technical limit on PS3 or 360 to stop them from that. If Blizzard sat down with Sony and MS they would have no problems to convince neither of them to agree on subscription.

They have 1 game on PC creating 15 dollar per month from subsrcibers and that game won't last forever.

Yes PC's are superior but releasing a game on PS3/360 allways gives superior sales as we can clearly see from the stats. So if blizzard would release a game crossplattform i can bet you both my nuts that the console versions would outsell PC versione vastly.

I'm not saying that the will drop PC, I'm just saying that moving to consoles will be a very smart move if you look at revenues.

Looking at StarCraft as an example. Since launch they have sold around 10 million copies, 4 million of them in South Korea. In 2 years Halo 3 on 1 plattform have sold nearly 9 million copies. In 1 year CoD 4 has sold over 10 million combined on both excluding PC sales which is much less. A well done Blizzard game (they don't do bad games) released on all 3 plattforms would easily create over 15 million in sales under 1 year.

All I'm saying is that Blizzard has the money and capacity to go multi and they can do that without killing PC or not use the power of it (their games are never the most high end technical on PC anyway) and that they would make vastly more money then they are currently making. With PS3 and 360 reaching a base of 50 million combined they would have a solid base to sell tons of games.

Predictions for 2009:

360: 39-42 PS3: 31-34 Wii: 67-70

Future projection

Wii will hit 100 million before christmas 2010 (made december 2008)

NDS Family will have sold and shipped more then PS2 at the end of 2009 (made january 2009)
