LordTheNightKnight is correct from my knowledge of the video game industry. Even if its sales are not proportional to the userbase of that console, a dollar is a dollar. 50+40+10= 100 would a company not want that 10 more in profit if dev costs are shared?

Its hard to say whether Infinity Ward will do COD6. But COD WAW wii felt like they were putting a bulk of their code and engine on the Wii. So why would Activision invest time into it if they didnt see future returns?

COD WAW Wii isnt selling like madness compared to the HD systems but I think most dev studios are aware of the demographic the Wii caters to. They weren't expecting 3.1 million on the Wii. I am sure their expectations are somewhat realistic. As said before, they look at the number overall weigh that against the cost and then make a decision.

At least that is my best guess.
