It's actually an issue when BD players are more profitable than PS3. If two million PS3:s are sold instead of standalone players and if a standalone player creates 50 more profit per unit sold, it's hundred million lost in profit.
@Simulacrum: Yes, it effects the game sales too. PS3 has the worst attach rate of the three, if i recall (which is comparable with Wiis attach rate due to being released at the same time period).
